7 Yoga Poses You Should Do Everyday & WHY…

Standing Side Bend
This stretch is great whether you just rolled out of bed or need a break from your desk. Make sure your feet are planted firmly on the ground and you should hold it for 5-10 seconds.

Forward Fold
This is great to do a few times a day because it allows for reversed blood flow through your body. It allows you a chance to re-center and sends oxygenated blood to your brain giving you more energy and clarity.

Downward Dog
This reaps some of the same benefits as stated above and is a great stretch for the hamstrings and very grounding mentally as well.

Cat & Cow
These two poses are so connected that they could be considered one pose. It stretched out the back muscles and allows for mobility in your spine.

This is a great pose for opening up the front of the body and is really good for the spine as well.

Seated Forward Fold
This is a great stretch for the back of the body and simultaneously helps you destress. It’s actually a really good pose to do before bed as it calms the mind.
