We can’t wait for our community to be together again and look forward to seeing each of you in class. While there will be some changes from how we have done things in the past, we are confident that our team is prepared and ready to get you moving again!

 

Class Reservation Information

Do I need to make a reservation for a group fitness class?
  • Yes, advanced reservations are now required to ensure your spot in a group fitness class.
  • To ensure your reservation, you must arrive and check into class at least 5 minutes before the class start time.
  • If you are NOT checked into class before this time, your reservation will be removed and opened for other members.
  • Your class instructor will greet you at the studio entrance and check you into class.
Why do I have to make a reservation now?
  • Our commitment to the health and safety of our team members and members is our first priority. The class reservation system allows us to adhere to class capacity and social distancing guidelines. Reservations also allow us to properly manage pre-staging of equipment for each participant and follow our cleaning protocols.
How far in advance can I make a reservation?
  • Classes can be reserved up to 24 hours in advance of the class start time.
  • Reservations may be modified (cancelled/changed) up to 5 minutes prior to class start time.
How do I make a reservation?
  • Class reservations can only be made through our website.
  • Visit the GROUP FITNESS SCHEDULE page on our website.
  • Navigate to the class you wish to attend and click "RESERVE NOW".
  • If you are not already logged in to your myMVP account, you will be prompted to do so at this time.
  • You must be logged in to reserve a group fitness class.
  • Once your reservation is made, you will receive a confirmation email.
Can I still attend a class without a reservation?
  • Unclaimed and/or unreserved spots in a class will be available for walk-ins.
  • Please check in with the instructor 5 minutes prior to class start time to see availability.
  • No walk-ins will be allowed in class after class start time.
Can I reserve a certain spot in the class?
  • No. Your reservation only guarantees your attendance in class.
  • Once you have arrived and checked in with the class instructor, you can pick a designated pre-staged spot.
How do I attend my class?
Check-In at the Service Desk
  • On the day of your reserved class, arrive at the club and check-in at the service desk.
  • Remember, all class reservations will be held until 5 minutes prior to class start time.
  • If you arrive less than 5 minutes prior to class start time, you risk forfeiting your reservation to a member in the stand-by que.
  • It is important that members do not congregate outside of the studios.
  • The class instructor will greet you at the studio entrance and check you into class.
  • If you are checking a child(ren) into Kid’s Stuff prior to class, please be aware that the Kid’s Stuff check-in process may take longer than normal due to new implemented safety procedures. Plan accordingly to arrive to your group fitness class on time.
Check-In with Instructor
  • Class studios/spaces will open 10 minutes prior to class start time.
  • It is important that members do not congregate outside of the studios.
  • The class instructor will greet you at the studio entrance and check you into class.
  • If you are checking a child(ren) into Kid’s Stuff prior to class, please be aware that the Kid’s Stuff check-in process may take longer than normal due to new implemented safety procedures. Plan accordingly to arrive to your group fitness class on time.
If I run late for class, can my friend save my reserved spot?
  • No. Due to limited class capacities, all reservations made will be held until 5 minutes prior to class start time.
  • If a spot is vacant 5 minutes prior to class start time, that reservation will be given to a member in the stand-by que.
Do I need to wear a mask in class?
  • In accordance with the State of Michigan Executive Order, protective face coverings must be worn AT ALL TIMES while inside MVP.
  • Please be mindful that working out with a mask is going to feel different and it’s crucial that you pay attention to how you feel and take breaks and get water when needed.
What safety & cleaning protocols are in place?
  • Limited class programming and modified schedules offered
  • Reduced number of participants in studios to allow for proper social distancing.
  • Equipment, when applicable, will be pre-staged for participants prior to class.
  • Designated participant spots to allow for social distancing. 6+ ft between participants in all directions.

  • Contactless class check-in for Health Points (after instructor check-in) available via MVP Mobile App
  • Classes will be spaced 45 minutes apart to allow for instructors to sanitize equipment with an EPA-registered, virus-killing disinfectant
  • Congregating outside or inside studio before or after class is not allowed.
  • Only large group fitness studios will be used. Gym floors may be used to hold classes if appropriate.
  • Functional training turf area will not be used for group fitness classes.

Do I need to put my equipment away after class?
  • No. We ask that you leave all equipment at your designated station.
  • Our team members will follow extensive equipment cleaning protocols after class.
How do I cancel or change a reservation?
  • If you no longer plan to attend class, please cancel your reservation at least 5 minutes prior to class start time. This courtesy will allow other members to attend in your spot.
  • To cancel, follow the same steps as for reserving and click "CANCEL".
  • Once your reservation is cancelled, you will receive a confirmation email.
How does my 12-17-year old register for a group fitness class?
  • By logging into the website using their individual login information, all 12-17-year old's active on your account will be able to reserve a class. You can add email address information to all members on your account directly through your online account.
