To our RDV Community…

Since our closing on July 5, our emergency response team has worked diligently to assess the scope of the roof and water damage caused by the storms in June. Unfortunately, the extent of the damage is far more significant than we could have imagined and includes all flooring (wood, rubber and carpet) and a majority of our equipment. The timeline to accomplish the task of installing new flooring, replacing all equipment, and completing other repairs is approximately 120 days.

Our goal is to reopen RDV Athletic Club and RDV Ice Den in late November. 

This news does not come lightly and our hearts are heavy for our amazing team, Athletic Club members, Ice Den customers and all those that visit and love RDV.  We know that for the past 22 years, our building has been so much more than just a gym and an ice rink, it is has been a community and a family. And for that family, we stand committed to rebuilding and reopening RDV Sportsplex as Central Florida’s world-class sports and fitness destination. 

Thank you for your unwavering support and understanding. We will remain RDV STRONG and look forward to the day we welcome back our incredible community.

RDV Sportsplex suffered significant roof damage during the hailstorm that affected the area on June 24th. The extent of the damage in combination with our daily summer showers has created substantial water damage to the building.


We have partnered with an emergency rapid response team, Coastal Reconstruction Group to assess and repair our roofing system and all internal and external building damage.  At the request of the response team and for the continued safety of our members and team, we have made the decision to close RDV Athletic Club and RDV Ice Den until August 1st.


This decision does not come lightly, but our commitment to the safety of our Athletic Club members, Ice Den customers and valued team members will always be our first priority.


This year has come with many challenges and we more than appreciate your continued support, patience and understanding. We will remain RDV STRONG and look forward to welcoming back our amazing RDV community as soon as possible.


Membership Account Information


  • No new membership dues will be charged to any accounts until we are able to reopen.
  • All memberships will receive prorated dues credit to their membership account for the period of July 5-July 31.
  • Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Dues credits will be applied directly to your RDV Athletic Club membership account on August 1. Credit card refunds are not available.
  • Dues credit will be available to be applied towards future dues and other charges on your membership account on the date the club re-opens.
  • All Medicare memberships will retain their active status during the time of closure.
  • Members on Points Plus will not be charged the monthly $8 until September 1st.
  • For one-time events (Summer Camp), we will provide refunds to impacted members for events that will not happen while the club is temporarily closed.
  • For recurring services that have already been processed (Swim Lessons, Tennis Lessons, etc), we will provide credits that can be applied towards future charges on your membership account.
  • Expiration dates for sessions and packages will be extended to ensure sessions will not expire during our temporary closure (Training, Massage, etc).

We reopened on Monday, June 1 with new cleaning and safety protocols to ensure that confidence.

Through research, CDC guidelines and industry best practices, we have formulated extensive cleaning and sanitizing procedures, including the introduction of EPA registered disinfectants proven to eliminate COVID-19 on surfaces.


  • Increased Frequency
    Modified club hours to allow for additional cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces throughout the club.
  • Sanitizing Stations
    Hand and equipment sanitizing stations will be readily available throughout the club.
  • Reinforced Protocols
    Constant reinforcement of front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house sanitation procedures.
  • Overnight Cleaning
    Consulted with contracted cleaning company to ensure effective overnight cleaning products and procedures.



We will carefully open with a phased approach to ensure confidence and peace of mind for members and our team. The following procedures and operational protocols are in place during Phase 1 of our reopening plan.

Modified Hours
Modified hours of operation will allow for additional cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day. Members will not be allowed to check-in to the club 15 minutes prior of a pending club cleaning time.

  • Towel service will be temporarily unavailable. All members are to bring their own towel for workout and/or shower.
  • Members are to bring their own pre-filled water bottle.
  • All team members, with the exception of Group Fitness Instructors teaching class, will be required to wear protective face coverings.
  • Beginning Saturday, June 20 protective face coverings must be worn while inside RDV Sportsplex. Masks are not required while exercising and/or participating in an active sport. THANK YOU for your understanding as we adhere to these new local directives.
  • Guest/Non-Members will not be permitted in the club during Phase 1 of our reopening plan.
  • All customers are encouraged to follow the guidance of the CDC.
    • In accordance with local directives, members must wear protective face coverings while inside RDV Sportsplex. Masks are not required while exercising and/or participating in an active sport.
    • Follow 6’ social distancing guidelines. Do not congregate.
    • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer provided throughout facility.
    • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Contactless check-in is available via the MVP mobile app.
  • Limited check-in stations will be available to allow for proper social distancing.
  • Protective shields will be present at check-in stations for a period of time.
  • Social distancing markers available to guide check in process.
  • Hand sanitizing station will be available.
Common Areas
  • Casual seating will be removed or spread out to allow for proper social distancing.
  • Additional hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the building.



In addition to our extensive cleaning efforts including the use of EPA-registered, virus-killing disinfectants, the following procedures and operational protocols are in place during Phase 1 of our reopening plan.

Locker Rooms
  • To practice social distancing, only 50% of lockers will be available.
  • Frequent sanitization of shared surfaces using EPA-registered, virus-killing disinfectants.
  • Temporarily Unavailable: Towel Service, Laundry Service, Whirlpool, Sauna, Steam Room, Cold Plunge, Lotion, Hair Gel
Fitness Floor
  • Limited strength and cardio machines available to increase space for social distancing.
  • Limited fitness equipment accessories available to ensure more frequent cleaning of available equipment. I.E. Fitness Mats, Bands, Foam Rollers, Attachments, etc.
  • Enhanced cleaning protocols with EPA-registered, virus-killing disinfectants.
  • Several fitness wipes stations throughout the space to help encourage cleaning of equipment before and after use.
  • Functional training turf area will be available for personal workouts and training sessions. No group fitness classes will utilize the turf space in Phase 1.
  • Temporarily Unavailable: Towel Service
Group Fitness
  • Limited class programming and modified schedules offered
  • 50% class capacity restrictions to reduce number of participants in studios
  • Equipment, when applicable, will be pre-staged for participants prior to class.
  • Designated participant spots to allow for social distancing. 6+ ft between participants in all directions.
  • Advanced reservations required for studio offerings through our website. CLICK HERE to reserve your class!
  • Contactless class check-in for Health Points (after instructor check-in) available via MVP Mobile App
  • Classes will be spaced 45 minutes apart to allow for instructors to sanitize equipment with an EPA-registered, virus-killing disinfectant
  • Congregating outside or inside studio before or after class is not allowed.
  • Only large group fitness studios will be used. Gym floors may be used to hold classes if appropriate.
  • Functional training turf area will not be used for group fitness classes.
  • Temporarily Unavailable: Yoga Blocks, Yoga Mats, Fitness Mats, Towel Service
  • Trainer will work to sanitize and disinfect all touch points throughout training areas before and after each use.
  • To protect members and team members, we will practice social distancing of 6 feet during one-on-one and small group sessions, eliminate any physical contact and masks will be encouraged
  • When available, training may be done outdoors to allow for proper social distancing
Kid's Stuff
  • Kid's Stuff team members will be required to wear protective face coverings.
  • To allow for proper social distancing guidelines, Kid’s Stuff will be open in a limited capacity during Phase 1.
  • We require calling ahead (407-916-2522) 24 hours to reserve a spot for your child(ren). This is a temporary procedure while we adhere to issued guidelines on capacity.
  • Kid's Stuff will be limited to 50% capacity. With this restriction, availability is not guaranteed.
  • Children can be checked into Kid's Stuff for 1.5 hours max, once per day.
  • Only one (1) family will be allowed inside the Kid's Stuff doors for drop-off and pick-up to allow for proper social distancing.
  • Protective barriers will be present at Kid’s Stuff desk to ensure a layer of protection for team members and members.
  • By bringing children to Kid’s Stuff, parents acknowledge their children don’t have any signs or symptoms of Covid-19 or any other illness including having a temperature over 100.4 for 48 hours prior to being in Kid’s Stuff.
  • As a safeguard to team members and other children, our team members will be taking each child's temperature via no contact infrared thermometer prior to admitance. Children with a temperature of 100.4 or above will not be allowed to check in that day.
  • Children over the age of 2 are allowed to wear protective face coverings.
  • Team members will do their best to keep kids separated while in Kid’s Stuff space.
  • Hourly sanitization of all high-touch surfaces and toys, and plush toys have been removed.
  • Summer camps will not be available in June. Camps will resume in July.
  • Temporarily Unavailable: Programs, Birthday Parties, June Summer Camps
  • Open swim and lap swim will be limited to one (1) person per lane. Please be conscious of people waiting and limit time accordingly.
  • Capacity restrictions will be implemented in all aquatic areas.
  • Shared equipment may have limited availability.
  • Hourly sanitization of all high-touch surfaces with EPA-registered, virus-killing disinfectant.
  • Temporarily Unavailable: Towel Service, Lessons/Programming
  • During Phase 1 basketball courts will be used for group classes. No open play or basketball shooting will be allowed.
Racquet Sports
  • Court occupancy consistent with governmental orders and guidelines.
  • Players are required to maintain a safe social distance when entering and exiting a court.
  • For safe social distancing, avoid any physical contact with another player
  • Place personal belongings at least 6 feet apart from another player’s.
  • We recommend players do not change ends between play; or if it is necessary, change ends on opposite sides of the net
  • Make sure to bring your own racquet, tennis balls, water and towel.
  • Ball machine use will not be allowed at this time.
  • To protect members and team members, we will practice social distancing of 6 feet during one-on-one sessions, eliminate any physical contact and masks will be encouraged.
  • During lessons, roll balls to the net with your racquet and our tennis pros will pick them up, please refrain from touching tennis equipment
  • Racquetball, Squash and Pickleball courts are available for use. Limit four (4) members max per court. No demo racquets or balls available.
  • Temporarily Unavailable: Towel Service, Cardio Tennis, Group Classes/Programs over 4 people
  • Customers will be asked to not arrive more than 5 minutes before their session. If they arrive before that, please wait in your car as waiting room seating may not be available.
  • We will only be welcoming back our existing spa clients during Phase 1. No new client services will be booked until later phases.
  • Customers and team will be required to wear face masks during treatment.  
  • Therapist and customer must wash hands prior to service. 
  • Therapist and customer should not greet each other with a handshake but instead welcome with a smile and invitation to proceed with massage treatment. 
  • Customer will be asked to answer a health assessment prior to appointment beginning. If customer does not pass the assessment, the service will be cancelled and refunded. 
  • All linens must be laundered following each service, which is in accordance with standard procedure. 
  • All spaces within massage room and surrounding space must be disinfected in between services, which is in accordance with standard procedure.
  • Temporarily Unavailable:New Customer Appointments
  • Rental rooms will be locked unless rented. 
  • Rental rooms will be reduced in the # of people allowed due to social distancing recommendations. 
  • Some seating may be removed to allow for adequate social distancing. 
  • Flavored water will be removed in Phase 1. 


We will begin charging membership dues once the club is able to reopen. If you have an available credit on your account, this credit will be applied in the next available billing process.


This has been a difficult time and we know how important it is for our members to have the confidence and peace of mind that they are returning the safest environment possible. If you need a little more time before coming back, we understand.


POINTS PLUS was created with this flexibility in mind. Our POINTS PLUS program allows memberships to be placed on a hold status for an unlimited amount of time. When you are ready to come back, you will retain your initial membership dues pricing and will not be charged a re-enrollment fee.


*EXTENDED* There is currently no charge to be on POINTS PLUS. If after August 31st you are still not ready to come back, you can continue POINTS PLUS for only $8 per month, per account.
